Considering we've only recently lost Dave Brockie and Peter Steel (not quite as recent)... Definitely too soon. Man, it makes you feel old when the musicians you grew up on start dying off.

At least King Diamond is still alive and kicking... And as we know, Dave Mustaine is immortal...

Yeah but i mean that bastard was still young, he died in his 40's i bet he had so much more to do; hell he even was preparing/going on tour with Drowning pool and other great bands when this happened; hopefully his legacy will continue through people and fans because sometimes even if its strange; the death of the artist actually makes them more famous and more people will get to know them because their death is all over the news. Other band members from both Powerman 5000 & Godsmack paid their respects to the families on the group...nobody was expecting this to happen all so sudden :<

Yeah, 40 is young to die suddenly... Steel was 48 and Brockie was 51. Saddening in all cases... The metal world is poorer for their losses.

I do not believe the "died peacefully in his sleep" cause of death but it's none of my business.

It sucks though, always enjoyed Static-X and I found out over the radio after they played a Static-X song that the DJ simply says, "Man, still hasn't sunk in that he's gone."

Yeah when the news came out they weren't telling the cause of death, knowing him and in the most likely event im guessing his death was drug-related; like many other artists this seem to be pretty commom..still it really sucks that he is gone

Oh damn!!! Wayne Static died!? Frig! That does suck, Shadowzone is my favorite album of theirs...that is a bummer...like Dio level bummer.

Hopefully they're both in the same place now :>
