Suit Search

Well its finally happened. I can finally start looking for a suit. There's just one problem I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M DOING
I know what I want but it seems that alot of people are closed. If any suit maker comes across this, please comment. I'm looking to go full suit, plantigrade legs and a moving jaw to say the least.
Any fursuit makers that come across this, I can pay the full amount in one payment

Each suit maker has their affinities that sets them apart from the rest.
The suit makers I like the best don't do moving jaws, so I can't offer much in the way of recommendations there. But good luck!
Second, find out which one's style you like.
Third Look at their prices [then have a heart attack].
I'll list some that I've found. I have no recomendations since I've only just commissioned a fursuit maker myself.
Start with finding styles of suits you like. Then look into cost to find maker you like that is also in your price range.
Don't forget to look into reviews of makers!!
That should get you in a good area to know what you're doing.
Foam heads with moving jaws are, in my opinion, no good. At least, every moving jaw head I have worn has been super uncomfortable, and 2/3 were foam balaclava style and haven't worked properly (at all), and the other was resin and was cool to wear, but sometimes when you put it on would cause pain on your ear for some reason.
First: Make sure where the fursuiter lives so you can calculate the price from the shipping location. If you live in Europe and order a fursuit from USA, there are gonna be silly taxes. For instance: if the value of the fursuit will be around 2500$, you will have to pay extra 500$ once it gets to your door. Its silly yes, but you can ask to reduce the price of the value inside the package once it is shipped to your fursuit maker. You cannot avoid those taxes because of USA-to-Europe shipping customs.
Second: Before choosing the fursuiter, research the lesser known ones but still with positive customer reviews, they tend to be cheaper and along the waiting time (which mine is already taking almost two years) the fursuit maker will improve. Check
Third: Note that very popular fursuit makers will always be the most expensive. And sometimes they have communication issue with customers from alot of people in their working queue.
Fourth: Read their TOS, some fursuit makers do not accept refunds, some accept partially. But they always tell you that the deposit money will be non refundable which is to buy the materials for your costume.
Fifth: Once you get into the queue, be super patient. It will take a very long time to wait for the costume to get worked on. Especially its a digigrade full body suit. If the fursuit maker accepts rush fees for a specific date, then its a possibility for it to be finished in a date to your liking. But sometimes that can lead to rushed work, so once it gets to your door, make sure your fursuit is OK and doesnt need fixing.
Sixth: Give ALL details, for DTD, give also information of your head length, width and height. Hand measurement and foot size. Make sure its a well made DTD and for it not to be tight. A good way to know if its not tight, if its you can move well with it once its complete. Same goes to your concept art, make sure every single detail that you wish to be on your fursuit to be there, extra details that are not really needed are better to be discarded.
PS: Most fullsuits will be no less than 1500$ if you wish for it to be good quality and with a good design at the same time.
Good Luck!
