Why I'm still considering leaving FA...

Several of you have told me that the hacker/system admin has stepped down.
The reason I'm still probably going to leave is the idea that he may NOT have actually stepped down, and that has only been said. If they kept his involvement as a system admin a secret for over a year, which screams volumes to me, then there's no reason why they wouldn't lie and say he stepped down when he really didn't.
There's an interesting journal over on Weasyl that references and talks about a lot of shit FA has done, as well as this hacker.

So, end result of all this - I just don't feel comfortable being part of a website that has over time become so corrupt and untrustworthy. FA was the first furry website that actually helped me become a PART of the furry community, and allowed me to really reach out and make friends, share my artwork and stories, and overall just feel like I had a place to socialize about certain things I couldn't ever do before.
However, like they say, all good things come to an end (sometimes sooner than later). It's about time for me to move on and find another place or two that will help me to continue to be a part of the community SAFELY.
Weasyl and SoFurry are my two main options right now.

I am getting used to it.
It's the people's responsibility to not support shitty corporations. Too bad that'll never happen.

Weasyl doesn't seem large at all.
SoFurry's UI has changed so significantly that I really don't like it and find FA much simpler to navigate.
InkBunny isn't really that bad and gives way more tools than all the other sites combinded. The artist there actrually tag their works and users can suggest tags. Has filters galore, folders and revisions. So that is my second option.
Sadly each has its quirks on what it does and doesn't allow IB hates Humans, FA hates real photoes and cgi for some odd reason.
Weasyl hates just about everything else. I have a slight bias on a few services. Really like the past. Everything comes and goes and really hasn't been anything special out there.
As far as FA goes. I say if it doesn't affect me directly, what am I really losing?

If FA disapeared tomarrow...
I would lose all of my watchers though they still can find me elsewhere.
I would lose all of my uploads to my gallery. Though I have backups on my pc
All of my stats would be gone, page veiws, favorites, and watchers.. Though wouldn't starting over on another site be the same?
Really I lose nothing..
The only concern that FA could have with anyone here is the information we put on this site. From what you look like, to where you live. Any information is a weapon, and it can be use against you.
Personal Messages have already been compromised time and again here on FA. I never put any personal info in IM's. Don't go flirting with someone else here.. Don't plan meets at cons either.
FA isn't bad, you just have to be safe, and wear protection.
