PSA: Do NOT steal character designs, just, DON'T!

Yes, I know, character design is hard, especially if you're not an artist, and do not have reference pieces. That however does NOT make it okay to lift another characters design wholesale and claim it as your own. People go through a lot of trouble creating recognizable characters, and for commissioners like me that translates into a lot of money as well. It is one thing to be inspired by a character, and to take some influence from them, but if you take that characters design in its entirety that is intellectual property theft, plain and simple.

But you can't deny the fact that in the real world are you able to meet a doubleganger, one there looks exactly like yourself without being related.
But this apparently doesn't apply with character creation.
That said, there are a number of characters within the fandom that look similar to each other, and often it's pure coincidence.
