I just wanted to update my commissioners and followers as to why work has been tremendously slow.
I had to recently pick up a part time job to help with finances. I found one immiediatly and was very happy that solved most of my problems. It wasn't until a week into the job that I realized that a manager that I was working with was one the rudest, callused, and overbearing human beings I have ever met.
I was constantly told how horrible I was, and how so many people do my job better than me. I had been working there for about a week and a half, and the manager's expectations were absolutely ridiculous. If that wasn't enough, the interactions devolved into not even looking at me when talking to me, shutting doors in my face and outright ignoring me.
I found out that there were 8 people before me that have quit because of this manager. One of them had been working there for over 30 freaking years. Nothing has been done to this manager to stop berating associates at all, which has gone on for 3 months now.
And if beating myself up for not updating my commissioners in a timely manner wasn't enough, this manager schedules me to work on Thanksgiving. My family, which I barley see anymore, the one time we meet together and I couldn't go or even have a Thanksgiving meal with them. I know this is normal in some cases, but because of the past treatment from that manager It's hard not to place blame.
I have given notice, and plan to stabilize my content output and future Patreon page to help pick up the upcoming funds slack. The amount of ignorance and stress I had to deal with drained me to the point I could do nothing but recuperate for the rest of my day, lacking any energy to do anything else.
If anything I'm just trying to explain where most of my energy has been focused the past few weeks. I don't mean for this to sound like one huge excuse. I need to finish my work I owe, and that's what I plan to do.
