GG-1 Locomotive Documentary

The GG-1s were interesting locomotives for many reasons.
This documentary features a GG-1 restored by NJ Transit operating on their lines shortly before all GG-1s were retired.

I think it looks good in either color, though its too bad it can no longer operate like in the video.
BUT keep the old motors for parts for the other preserved GG1s
Would be amazing to watch one doing 100 on the NEC again.
With new cars or vintage in PRR
The one at IRM does look pretty good. Can't go wrong with 5 stripe PRR green.
I know nothing about US electric stock, so it was really interesting to watch. Those things are big! :)
There actually were/still are a fair number of electric locomotives in the US, but they never really caught on in the way steam and diesel did. (Cost of putting in wires and maintaining them over long distances was often expensive and difficult.)
The variety in locomotives on these lines can be pretty interesting.
They came in many different shapes and sizes, though the big ones on the NEC and on the Milwaukee Road probably are the most interesting.
