If I don't know you... [rant/vent]

I really don't like that ASL stuff, so please don't play the:
you: hey
me: Hi :D
You: how are you?
me: well, how are you?
you: I'm good, where you from?
me: (in my mind...uhhhh) Canada <---lie
you: I'm from (insert random place here) do you text?
Yeah, stop right there. I really hate these kinds of conversations because in most cases from experience they usually turn into weird uncomfortable conversations about wanting to sext or have dirty role plays. Mind you I've never handed out my phone number to strangers and I never will. That's great if you want to get to know me or want to be friends, fine. Let's be friends on here and stuff, but unless I know you in rl, then I wont get you my phone number. Period. End of story.
If by chance I meet you at a con of some sort and we hit it off and I'm omg, you're like so amazing lets be friends on fa, or da, or weasyl and so on, then it might get to the texting stage, but even then I'm iffy.
I love talking to people online and I love making friends. I even really enjoy rping, but I do have a boyfriend, it's right there on my page. No he doesn't have an FA or any sort of art site because he's not a furry nor an artist. We've been dating about 2 years now and he's great, so please respect that.
As I said, I love to rp, but please don't take that as an open invite for a smut rp, because as I am in a relationship, it makes me very uncomfortable in most cases unless it's with a friend and it's strictly for story purposes or I'm well aware it wont lead into actual expectations of stuff.
Long story short, I love chatting, but its usually pretty obvious when you lead into a similar intro like the example above that you're going to lead into one of those, "hey, lets text" or whatever else.
My note system works fine.
-sighs-
Anywho...yeah. So, I'm not gonna call anyone out, but it just happened to me and it always leaves me feeling quite uncomfortable and all around weird feeling and then I get weary of notes for a while.
:/

FA+

Don't get me wrong, I'm not mad at the person, I'm just uncomfortable with it and I generally don't like it, some people are into that, I'm not.
And oh god, I hate that. My sister ended up breaking up with one of her boyfriends because he had a "girlfriend" on IMVU as well. While she knew him in rl, and he started "dating" the girl on imvu, well after she was already dating him. I think she contacted the girl too and i can't remember what the girl said if anything but her boyfriend was all "well i figured it wouldn't do any harm because I'd never see her in rl anyway," and she told him she still saw it as cheating in her book and he called her a bitch, so yeah.
But yeah, gonna save this journal for sure
