Yeah I know I've been quiet for quite for a while, various things here and there mainly college and a lack of motivation has kept me from posting. Now for college there isn't much I can do, but the lack of motivation comes from a personal crisis that does relate to "you" meaning those willing to read this journal and even those who aren't but are following my art.
You see, though I may seem antisocial or reclusive I really want to be a social artist who streams their work and is willing to discuss with my peers the ideas I usually keep to myself. Why I hide so often is I am afraid of what being open would do for me, I am a person of varying interests, and some of those interests tend to overlap with stranger parts of the internet, of which I'm hardly interested in getting myself involved in.
In spite of that, I would really like to be one of those social artists, who posts stuff to their media sites, livestreams, and tweets (when necessary). My problem is that I also despise with a passion media whores, advertizements and spam. I've run into a few "self-promotional" artists and I immediately stop talking to them after a few days. Why? It's irritating and insulting to be sent a file or picture and get the message under it "Remember to like comment share with your friends and fuck you you're just a springboard for me to promote myself"
I don't want to be that guy, because he's an awful dispicable human being who bastardizes the relationship between a content creator and the community who enjoys said content. I want to have a community, I appreciate every comment I get and I appreciate every one of you guys who enjoys my artwork. So my question for you is how can I promote myself without using the very people who help me as a springboard?

The right way is how you feel most comfortable and give a shit about things which are common risks.
