Bad joke, Irradiated. Just think about all the people, 19 furries, that had to miss the rest of the con and be hospitalized. What if you were in their shoes... you wouldn't be having the same journal that you have now.
Not to mention some of them might never be able to go to a con again potentially. Rabbit here seems to think they just got something on their clothes, aside from the material things which are now all permanently ruined, electronic, clothing, etc. The physical effects are also long-lasting. It isn't like they just got a few weird splotches on their clothes, some of them might never be right again as far as health-wise.
That shit is some strong stuff too
Other than being extremely toxic if you've seen the photo of the stairwell of where it at all started, that stuff ate through the paint like it was nothing.
Very true. This is harmful. I haven't been exposed to high levels of chlorine before, but yeah it can cause serious damage and ruin your fursuit. I just hope that they catch the person responsible for this crime.
Sorry IR, but I have to agree with the previous comments, most of your jokes are belly rollers, but this was something serious, I heard they had to cut one suiter out of his suit because he was having a seizure and had to go to the hospital, along with others that were having breathing problems ..... when chlorine gas is inhaled into the lungs it turns to hydrochloric acid, that is freaking nasty stuff. SB.
I would hope they would have it covered by personal effects insurance if that is the case. Most makers I know in that case would be happy to bump them to the top of the queue as well.
IR, this "joke" (and I use the term very loosely) was in VERY poor taste. People could have died from it, some people DID get injured from it, this may cause a lot of them to not want to go to any cons, or be able to. And you find this funny? Sorry, but I agree with the above. A chlorine gas attack is NOTHING to laugh about.
You're pretty brave for answering the joke with another joke here. Be careful, they're Sharptoning the hell out of IR for it. Not the best tastes in humor but crucifying him isn't doing anything better for those 19 people.
What? Okay, this was a terrorist preforming a terrorist action, not some internet troll posting "I hate furry" threads; it isn't something to joke about or laugh at.
Please don't joke about this matter IR because I have friends who went to Midwest Furfest and my friend Mavwolf who is an former Paramedic EMT helped with an friend of his who became ill and other furs who got sick from the chlorine gas attack. Mavwolf put his life in danger saving other furs at this year's Midwest Furfest. Most were stuck outside in the cold until the Rosemont Convention Center opened it's doors to the furs who were waiting for the all clear. I'll still watch you and be your friend but please be more considerate of the furs who went.=^.^=
