Some people just shouldn't breed.
People saying this was a prank. Chlorine gas is not a prank, it is an attack. The harm is deliberate. Unless of course the news coming out is wrong.

And again, Im just going with what I can get from the news reports--which have a tendency to fearmonger. One bit I got was that it prompted an evac of the whole hotel, which is a lot of gas, more than a simple accidental spillage and combination can produce. May or may not be correct in a few hours.
But if it was, the person(s) can be charged with using a WMD--it has happened before in the US and with gas a lot less nasty.
However, it could be produced on accident. Bleach plus organics can make chlorine gas (working in a lab, I've done that while disinfecting glassware, and boy does it hurt, real bad, even if it's a very, very small amount), so there are reactions that can produce it on accident rather than in a purposeful attack... but I haven't yet seen the news you're referencing, I'll have to go look it up now.
And it was a scientific discovery way before it was ever perverted into a weapon.
