wierd master/pet dream

Last night i had a dream involving one of those "master/pet" relationships. Now i'm usually able to analyze my dreams pretty well, and i have been curious about the "master/pet" thing, but the way this dream played out it was just really odd. And it stuck with me all day today. (Note, through the whole thing, i'm still human.)
It's started off in this kind of run down apartment, kind of like the ones you see in the projects of new york. I played the roll of the "pet" and the guy that played the role of the "master" was this sort of long blond haired drunken rocker style guy. (Now i'm a playful person irl, so that's of course how i acted in the dream.) I wanted to play with him, be petted, and cuddled, but every time i tried, he gave me an angry look, and it scared me. Not in the sense that he was gunna beat me, but maybe he did before the time frame of the dream took place. Still, i got got very scared and hid, every time he gave me the look. So at some part of it, i was whining at the door because i wanted to go outside. Instead of taking me out, my master just tied my leash to the outside knob of the front door and left me in the hallway where all the other apartments connect. The reason he left me there like that, was because he just wanted to fool around with his mistress. Can't tell you much about her though, she wasn't of much interest. So after being leashed in the hallway, i managed to get loose and wondered the city for a while and it was night time and it started raining heavily. I took shelter under one of those train bridges that you see in new york, as well, and was shivering there not knowing what to do. Cold, wet, and scared, i went back to the only "safe" place i knew, which was back to my master's apartment. Once i was back, i saw that the place had changed, and now there were several kids making a mess of the place and playing with a bunch of white kittens. I quickly took charge and acted like a proper human adult should act like, and i got the kids in order, cleaned up the apartment, and got all the kittens into one of those large kennel cages. Then my mom comes through the door and is proud of what a good job i've been doing, and she goes into the kitchen to make dinner. After that, nothing fully memorable happens, except for a friend that using her laptop in the bathroom while i was trying to get ready to take a shower. Then my alarm went off and i woke up.
So, any ideas or thoughts on this odd dream of mine? Any info is greatly appreciated.
