MFF gas leak makes CBS Sunday News

Scratchings on the Wall
This morning, while watching a recap of CBS Sunday News with my dad, an incident was reported to have taken place at MFF. According to the report some irresponsible idiot left chlorine powder in a ninth-floor stairwell at the hotel. As a result, 19 people were hospitalized. My heart goes out to those exposed to the gas. I hope they heal swiftly. Someone stated invesyigators believe the gas was created intentionally and are treating it as a criminal matter. -_-;
On a semi-humorous note, one of reporters called MFF "known as Anthrocon." Shows they did not do their research on our conventions or the fandom.

FA+

1: yes it was intentional, a smashed unmarked glass jar doesn't happen accidentally, on the 9th floor
2: the stuff used was nasty but not weapons-grade, just very 'dangerous consumer-grade' chemicals
3: nobody really slandered furry about this and Reddit especially took a crap on the haters, which puts the community into something of a victim-status (which is a pleasant PR break)
4: nobody was seriously injured
5: I'm glad my lucky chance is ok.
I hope they find out who did it. I'm wicked angry at Morning Joe from MSNBC
because their report was nothing but a joke that concentrated on the
weirdness of the people rather than concentrating on the issue,
people were poisoned! It's a mess... hopefully good will come of this!
