i wasn't/am not sure what i wanna do here on fa. with everything going on i don't want to do anything to support this site but it's the same issue a ton of other artists are at the moment.
i could just pull out and not submit(like i was planning to) and only be active on da/weasyl(and maybe get an inkbunny account idk) but if i get commissions, it's usually here. on the rare chance i do... and i really need the money. like extremely badly. funny for someone who so rarely advertises them but i don't ever get interest so i don't like spamming my watchers with those journals constantly. u_u
but i digress. there's some people trying to organize another mass exodus over to weasyl. i could easily drop off this site and settle back down there and i will once i see people really take to the idea of moving like they did last time. if people move this time, there should be no coming back.
years of broken promises, lies and having to deal with the most cowardly site owner i've ever fucking seen should be enough to finally break the camel's back after this last fuck up. if you move and so many do it, followers will go to where their favorite artists are. they won't follow if you continue posting here. encourage everyone to move with you.
it's about time the community finally put their foot down. you guys have the power to make change. change is hard but necessary. if we can properly organize a mass leaving i believe it can work, but there's no buckling and going back.
beh. i'll wait and keep an eye on journals being posted and continue to keep up with the drama in the update journal.
anyone who cares about my art will see me more active over on weasyl where i'll be posting up wips/sketches/doodles/ect and not just what i mirror on da and here. c:

the trouble with moving to weasyl, for me, has been that it is a ghost town. I'm sure my own lack of being able to settle doesn't help, but you are right in saying that a more active site brings in more attention. If I put something on Weasyl it might get 2 favorites; more often than not, it gets no favorites. So it is very discouraging to try to keep up my activity there.
I also gravely disagree with this site's administration, but I also can't pretend that I don't adore a lot of the individual people who choose to post and interact here. It's a difficult situation.
I've noticed more people going to Tumblr (including a few artists who were going to move to Weasyl permanently and, for whatever reason, chose to drop from it as well). It's hard to garner attention for your work there, too, though -- seems kind of shot-in-the-dark. That said, I have a side url that I'm probably gonna be posting art, selfies, and personal quips to, sooo...
