MidWest Fur Fest post-con report

Hey everyone! I'm alive... unscathed and thankfully not really shaken up.
So yeah, I guess you heard what happened at the hotel in the early hours of Sunday morning with the chlorine gas incident. There were some of you worried for me... thank you so much <3. I was on the fourth floor, snoozing at the time I heard the alarms. I had to wake my roomies up when I realized what was going on and get them outside.
On the more funny side... I entered a mindset one can only call "Staff Mode". There was I, directing pedestrian traffic away from the hotel with nothing more than an empty cherry-coke bottle. I wished I had my traffic-control gear with me so I could have been more useful, but oh well. Heheh.
Aside from that incident, the con was amazing! I've already found some video of me interacting with other fursuiters and I am so glad I went! I made some new friends and found plenty of old friends too.
On the way back things were less than ideal however... an 8:25am flight to Seattle, a 1pm bus from Seattle to catch and then having to catch the 9pm ferry home to Victoria, BC (16 hours travelling in total). The border guards ended up giving me a full on search for 'interesting' things, which is why I didn't catch the 7pm ferry home. I was not happy.
Also I bought some TSA-approved brass locks for my action packer. Going to ORD they were fine... however returning to SEA they both went MIA, so now I have to submit a complaint to the TSA for losing my brand new (literally five-days old) locks.
Wow... just even remembering all that was exhausting, xD
Also a quick note... my fursuit will not be at Further Confusion this year. I'm staying in the area two weeks and doing a lot of moving about. It's sad really, but there it is. I will be there though

Sadly I didn't bring Timothy out much as I had some really pressing things on my mind, but yeah.
