At Hungary I think you can only be judged by your worst crime. Hate crime, or Health endangering&injury...disturbing the peace sounds mild compared to those. I suspect, the person responsible will be serving some time! Don't let that sorry mo'fo' off the hook!

I hope they're caught and serve a long time! That's some serious shit they pulled. People were hospitalized and the entire hotel was evacuated because of that.

Well, aside the obvious jail-time, the injured persons can sue the perpetrator(s) via on their own too, possibly and hopefully adding even more jail time...I think. Not sure how the system works there, but sure hope, they got what they deserve.
The fair punishment were "turnabout is fair play": gas'em.

The punishment of death shall be inflicted by the administration of a lethal gas or by an intravenous injection of a substance or substances in a lethal quantity sufficient to cause death, by standards established under the direction of the Department of Corrections.

To me, every lethal sentence seems a waste, where you must invest more and more with each use: Bullets are costy, gas is costy, poison is costy, electricity is costy...rope, guillotine, water...now those are low-cost, and reusable!

See if the perpetrator has any more of that chlorine left. If so, use it on them!

If it were up to me, I would chose an environmental-friendly solution. Like death by rock throwing. But I would much better leave the choice up to the attacked ones...

I'd rather even a costly death like the electric chair to life without parole, which is what so many of the murdering assholes in this country get. Supporting a prisoner in a federal penitentiary for a year is more than most people make! Why waste our tax money on them when it could go to so many good causes?

You know, there are psychiatrist and doctors, who can help those "lost" people, find their humanity, giving them a purpose, and a goal, and finally a job and life, they can go toward, once they served up their time...
...time, medicament, food, heating, clothing, aducation/rehabilitation, etc which will all be paid by the honest working tax payers...
But those doctors/psychiatrist are in a need of a job too, no?
I would like to see, what a "rehab-preaching" person would do to the person, who raped and killed, or even just tried to hurt their family/children/grandchildren! Rehab wouldn't seems such a good thing to do then, eh?

Point of view is everything, I believe you are trying to say. And I agree. Lots to be said for rehabilitation of those capable of being rehabilitated. But there are so very many souls completely lost and evil who would even laugh at you for suggesting rehab. these could be recycled instead, in my opinion. And what would be saved wouldn't just be the cost of their incarceration but the lives that these people might ruin, the pain they may cause, and the cost to all of society for the ones who were released on parole and went right back to their old ways which is a very large percentage of them as they know no other way of life.

PS by recycled I mean, of course, executed. I'm a firm believer in capital punishment.

Actually that WOULD be a good idea if most of the scumbags hadn't been hooked on nearly every drug known to man at one point or another in their lives and have livers and kidneys a cat could barely survive on and lungs you could throw in the fireplace and burn like a lump of coal.

Still there is some merit to that thought when it comes to arms legs and such. Come to think of it that reminds me of a sci fi story where the demand for organs and body parts became so high that they DID use prisoners for them and even passed lots of new laws making damned near everything illlegal so as to provide a never ending supply for the super rich and high muckety-mucks in the government.

I only saw "Body Parts" and held "The Eye" in my hand, but didn't rented that one. Good old VHS days...*sigh*

Some people are just fucked up beyond belief. I've been following this pretty closely, and it's absolutely infuriating. I really hope whoever did this is caught and thrown in a deep, dark hole!

You apparently won't find this in any English dictionary or urban slang either, but I was taught it to mean something like a combination of karma with some evil magic or luck involved. As in doing something unnecessarily nasty to someone would be bad mokus. This may have been one persons own personal term that I picked up and perpetuated for all I know. Though this is the first time anyone has commented on my using it. I just like the sound of it though, so I use it no matter what. ;3

Indeed, the article you linked pretty much proves my point. Nobody thinks you're some kind of weirdo when you tell them you're a trainspotter or musician. Plus, you have to remember, I live in this city (or at least, within the Chicago media market), and if somebody I know should happen to see me at one of these things, especially with the additional media scrutiny an incident like this brings...
