Scarf commissions?
All of 3 people on YC said they were interested in this, so I decided to ask here also:
I'm thinking about taking "commissions" for scarves. These would be 4-6 feet long, 1 or more colours, made of soft fuzzy bulky yarn (I like using Bernat Soft Bouclé, which comes in many fun colours and feels like you're rubbing a kitten against your face when worn), with or without fringes. I'm thinking about charging $30 CND plus s&h per scarf (that converts to roughly $23 USD or £16 at today's currency rate).
Samples, to show I'm not total crap at knitting:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f.....scarves005.jpg - The one I'm working on currently for Gangrstallion, stockinette stitch, 3 colours (Earth Shades/Blue Shades/Grey Shades), may or may not have a fringe, and will be at least 5 feet long.
I'm trying to learn some more complex patterns like cable knits, etc., but right now I'd just offer the basic garter stitch, stockinette stitch and reverse stockinette in various combinations.
I won't be able to start taking other orders until I finish Gangr's, which likely will take me until mid-to-late March to complete. So to figure out if there are enough people to warrant the effort into doing this, leave me a comment or note on FA (or PUB on YC) if you'd be interested in buying one.
It would likely take me 1-2 months to complete one scarf, so I could only take one order at a time. I'd probably do something like posting a journal and getting names, then randomly drawing them out of a hat, etc.
SO, would you commission a scarf from me? :B
