We are moved into the new place and it is just lovely. Sadly my work area is a lot smaller than my old room and since I don't have a garage or other work area like that I will not be able to do any special airbrushing. I have some commissions that have airbrushing in queue as it is and I will be making sure those are done as agreed but I will not be able to take on anymore. I will have to do dry brushing but that is ok I normally do that for tiger stripes and spots anyway.
We are still unpacking everything and in a week we will be leaving the country to visit my husband's family in London, then I'm headed over to Dubai. Apparently Sic's mother really wants to see us so is having us brought out there and paying for the trip. I'm excited, my first trip abroad.
Today is our one year anniversary. We are in our new home, free of people who take advantage of us and finally able to live within our means. I still harbor a lot of resentment for those who put myself and my husband in the situation we were in but now that we are out of it, we can actually start working towards better things.
We have a nice little 3 bedroom condo, 2 story. I will have to have a great big house warming party to help bring love into the house and celebrate our freedom.
Worky things:
Time to rehash the queue, everyone's materials made it over safe and sound and as soon as we are done unpacking everything I'm going to get to work. I have been doing some minor stuff, practicing on scraps and such and developed some new ways to make things crisper and cleaner.
I have always feared mediocrity, I always fear my suits are not special. I always fear they just look like everyone else and that they don't stand out. I spent a long time learning to make them comfortable, light, and well built but now I want to spend some more time defining what they are on the outside. I have some sketches I will be posting of my ideas and I would LOVE to get your feedback on it. I want to make sure that all of you who have been waiting on suits get something that is well worth the wait, I know it doesn't make up for the fact you had to wait but I hope that I can at least prove my product is good even if I am not always my best.
It feels like an eternity I have been waiting for things to go my way, to say "this is going to be my year" and have it actually happen but now that we are in control of our own fates again, I think there might be a chance for us.

This is your happy anniversary song, it's not very long, hey!
Says the crafter who's responsible for my panda, which received -SO- many compliments and expressions of wonder this MFF. People couldn't get enough of her eyes.
I wanted to thank you so much this year. Last MFF wasn't a proper outing for your fursuit. But this year, I couldn't stop playing in it, and people adored her. More than anything else, you made her look great on a frame that I would have believed was impossible to make cute. Without you, -this- wouldn't have happened.

Looking forward to doing business with you in the future!
Your suits are wonderfully unique, and it's always good to hear that you are striving to improve your manufacturing techniques..
