Click once with the pen tool to start. Click again and drag to to make a curve to the next point. Hold alt to reset the curve.

Everyone has their own working habits. you should check out peoples live streams, its a great way to see new tricks.

the best part about photoshop in my opinion is the keyboard shortcuts. i find i use x a lot when sketching to switch between the primary and secondary colors. alt is also used a lot for things like selecting the sample area of the clone tool. just print out a list of keyboard shortcuts and keep them handy when you work.

you have a pentab right? aside from that you can use the brush tool as a starting point XD

Oh I already have that software, but PS is pretty much a standard thats used a lot I figure the sooner I learn to use it the better, plus a know messing with brush can give me a stablelizer effect like Sai , I just don't know.

No, there's no way to stabilise lines from within Photoshop.

However, There's a nice, cheap Third Party tool that adds all the nice things like stabilisation, Pressure curves, and perspective drawing to Photoshop, called Lazy Nezumi Pro:

Thats the thing, a while back, when I was in this one artist steam, he was actually able to do it, at least I'm pretty usre he did it, still gotta find the dude to make sure. is there is a way to do it, I wanna know how.

Photoshop has a "Smoothing" option in the brush dynamics system, but it's a simple checkbox with absolutely zero options, and the actual line smoothing is practically imperceptible.
