Laptop/Tablet Suggestions?
I'm asking because you're the internet, and you have Opinions on things.
After 7 years, I'm really getting sick of my beat up old MacBook. It's time for something new. I don't need anything fancy (god no not another mac), just something that I can use for general web browsing, word processing, skype, drawing and maybe playing some less graphically intense games.
I know there's some cheap notebooks out there, but I'm not sure what's decent. I'm even halfway considering going for a combo tablet-laptop, albeit a low end one - It might be fun for drawing to not have the tablet-screen disconnect that I have with my wacom.
Whatever it is, I'm expecting to keep it for a while. I'm not the sort of guy who replaces his electronics too often.
I UNNO, IF YOU GOT SUGGESTIONS LEMME KNOW.

I used to have good luck with the business class Thinkpads... they don't look all that special, but they're ridiculously durable, and there's a few available with Wacom digitizer support. Thus, drawing right on the screen the same way you already do with your tablet. I've also heard halfway decent things about Microsoft's Surface tablet, which winds up being kind of a tablet/laptop that folds up extra tight, but with pen support.
A warning about touchscreens though, don't snag a multitouch display (unless it also has Wacom pen support) if you're intending on using it to draw. You'll wind up using a weird marker or your finger to draw, and it's inaccurate as hell.
