For those who have a Langurhali, maybe this is something you'd enjoy! If you don't have one, but want one, you can read about them HERE! They're a semi-open-ish species, just need approval which is easy to get if you've read about them and your depictions are accurate to the species. Otherwise it wouldn't be a Langurhali, would it? :)
Anyway, the art/writing/otherwise creative challenge is this: portray your Langurhali either in the end of the year or the beginning. The end of the year is a time of giving thanks and focusing on family and loved ones in Willora. They all pile together, share stories, make crafts for each other, and prepare for the new year with their minds refreshed on their history and charged with positive energy from their loved ones. They often get a jump-start on spring by growing some small plants indoors, and otherwise spend the time relaxing, meditating, and surrounding themselves with inspiring and positive creatures & things. They often retreat to a "happy place" on their own from time to time as well; a corner of their den just for meditation. They burn incense, paint, groom one another and otherwise make sure they are prepared for the new year with a refreshed state of mind and fresh, clean coat.
The new year is a time of celebration and entertainment, so in all their mental preparation at the end of the year, during the beginning, they may polish and paint their horns and claws, dye their fur, sew/knit special articles of clothing or make ornate decorations/jewelry for their hair and whatnot. They dance, sing, and many perform theatrics including contortion, pantomime, and a hypnotic dance with bells, ribbons, tassels and other decoration that flows with their bodies.
Their traditions, dances and decor can be inspired by existing traditions but, for the most part, should be at least an attempt at something original that would suit their world :)
