Yikes. If I was a bit closer I'd volunteer my wetvac. Be really persistent in getting the water out as much as possible. Otherwise the mold will get a foothold and nothing but bad comes from that. I have a portable dehumidifier to loan if you need it.

We got it covered -- the basement tends to get wet so we already have a dehumidifier and various DampRid things down there, as well as a lot of utility towels. Thanks for the offer, though!

It's not a definite NEED, but I worry it's going to start shredding actual clothing, in which case it'll become a major issue. I'm also going to have to do half-loads from now on, worrying that it WILL start shredding clothes, meaning that laundry is gonna take twice as long to do.

So, yeah. Like I said, I've already consulted both my parents, and they are both wiling to help us buy a new set for a Christmas/early birthday gift, so we'll see what happens.

How can two people have so much laundry? I have no idea. Thank the flying spaghetti monster we aren't planning on kids; I think I would never do anything but laundry.
