Hatred...The Genoside Simulator?
Before i start this i want to make this point.
I do not believe that video games can create violence actions. I do believe that it can be a trigger to those who have..lets say less stable mind set. This goes for any media from books to movies. Good examples are catcher in the rye and Taxi Driver and more recently, the slender man attempted murder case.
Anyways, moving on to the topic at hand.
Hatred is a Indie game that has been in development for a while now. I'm not going to post a link cause i don't want to endorse this game in any way. The goal of this game is to committee genocide. Not like a god or anything but a man with a trench coat who's sole purpose is to go out in the street and kill as many innocent people as possible before you yourself is killed.
This game, in my opinion, does take violence too far. Not because its gory but because its sadistic. It mimics crazed shooters and very violent actions that can be done in real life (And have been)
I know there are other games out there that are very violent such as poastal and GTA but those are cartoony...there worlds unrealistic, there actions are your own and not the games. In other words, there stupidly unreal...
Hatred is different though. Your goal is too kill people, as many people as possible, there are even very violent moves like holding a woman by her hair while shooting her in the face.
I'm not saying this as a "Think of the children" thing. More as, "Who the fuck is this marketed too? and "When is the line crossed?"". Despite being on steam green light it was rejected by the steam admins. I agree with this action. This game isn't something that should be marketed or adverstised as "marked down sales"
Its like having a super porno XXX snuff fun magazine. You don't sell that at walmart, you sell it in the store behind the walmart. Why? Because people look for that stuff there.
In summary, its not that i am against this games creation...ok a little...more of a wtf deal...but its more that this game has reached a line where its contents are more for those who seek it, not to those who viewed it.
Thank you for reading. Please don't ask me for a link to the site, find it yourself :P

Postal is a pure dark comedy game that still has a story line in the games. This is just awful for the sake of being awful like that one game made by racist called Ethnic Cleansing.
By having it on steam, steam fully endorses and advertises it, thats why they don't want it on steam.
This game only gives you two real choices. Buy it, or don't.
Obviously I don't mean this journal... I am mostly talking about reactions I seen on another page last night about this, where even a marketplace like Steam brought its moral shit into play. That said, I don't believe this is a game I'd enjoy playing for even a minute... except possibly as a way to calm down after dealing with everyday human stupidity. But if I had a game hosting space, I don't believe I would discriminate it in any way compared to other games, and I don't get why anyone else would in this era.
P.S. If this was a game about murdering furries and not "ordinary people", everyone can be sure it would get a s**tload of approval.
Steam has every right to denie a game just as the game has every right to exist. Just because it isn't on steam doesn't mean it won't be sellable. From steam point of view, take out the moral aspect, the game is highly controversial and and has no real targeted audience...
From a business standpoint, its better for the steam company to stay out of it then be a part of it.
the fact it was pulled is just calls undue attention to a game im pretty sure no one would ever actually care about outside of raw shock value. and for me theres very little of that here to begin with, regardless of the games context. oh dear, shooty bang bangs happening in whats the most "realistic" way possible, killing innocent people ect ect. cant have that happening. why not make the dude a satan worshiper and have him become the anti christ and throw fireballs at people? thats get some attention, and hell it would even actually be a little bit interesting.
ill be happy when we forget this exists. hopfully thatll be sooner than later, cause this feels like the most redundant thing for people to get angry over. i mean, people can clearly tell theyre doing this exclusively to troll people!
So...yeah, by not having it on steam, it cut its life span significantly in the cycle of controversy theoretically. And its not like it can't be sold through the website itself so the game isn't totally dead. Its just not distributed by steam.
Which, incidentally, answers your question about who would make such a thing: A bunch of sick fucks for whom being as offensive as possible was the desired outcome.
Posative reason for even conceptualizing such a game, let alone making past every stage of development without anybody on the team even being remotely concerned.
