So lazy...

Thought I might as well push the Valentine's Day journal offa my page, but couldn't think of anything to put except that I've run into kind of a roadblock in terms of motivation. I'm working on a story but I just sort of trailed off about a week ago and haven't really gotten anything important done on it since then. I should really get off my butt and just get back to work.
Feel free to encourage/inspire/threaten me to get my creative juices flowing again.

The best way for me to get flowing again usually involves a brief cessation of my creative endeavors, followed by some button-mashing catharsis on the PS2. It usually only takes a day before I'm either rushing to my computer or scrambling for a writing implement.
I know how that goes. For me threats don't work... when I see something truly awesome that I want to aspire to, that usually works... praise does too. Folks waiting on the next story from you perhaps might work? I know i"m eagerly awaiting another story! :D
Go to a local art museum?... look at neat things?...or go browse the book store and see what truly terrible books actually get printed then go make something better! I know you write better than half the authors I've most recently read who had published works. I just look at it as motivation... they were worse than you and got published so time to get more stories written?
Good luck :)
But yeah, I went through my life thinking only truly awesome writers got published until I read The Da Vinci Code, which was full of grammar and sentence structure errors. I distinctly remember thinking "Holy crap, this guy got himself a Tom Hanks movie deal and I can write better than him!" Lent me a fair amount of hope, it did.
If you want another morale boost go try to read Twilight! :P
