I'm very sad....RIP Ember

It seems that one of our cats, Ember, got out of the house because of one of our roommates and was hit by a car..... the worst part is, the roommate never bothered to tell us she'd run out, not a word. I'm very upset... she was our baby and now she's gone just like that... 
saw a dead cat in the road on his way to work and thought it looked like our cat, but tried not to think about it. When I got to work he told me about it, and I realized we hadn't seen her all day (she normally hides and sleeps). We came home from work and tore up the apt to find her... but it seems it really was her. and I'm super sad and super pissed at that roommate right now, our poor ember was out there in the street... probably terrified cause she never goes outside and then gets hit by some huge noisy thing.... someone picked up the body before i went to work so i didn't see it... but i cried a while and snugged my cat. If magically it wasn't her... I'd be happy but pretty positive it was her v.v

Cats can sneak out pretty easily without yah even noticing. Did he really know she got out? Or guessed she did at a certain time? I hope it was just an unfortunate accident. D: Make sure you love upon your kitty and keep an eye on him so he doesn't sneak out too. D: I wish you all the best and if you need any emotional support I'm here for yahs. I'm sure Hazel would let you love on her if ever you visit her. She doesn't look like Ember nor feel like her... but I'm sure it'll still be comforting to pet her.

My Haze doesn't try and sneak out but my dad's cat loves to give it a shot so whenever I'm at my dad's I have to watch the doors just in case. I don't know about his new cat but I'd rather not give it a try. No idea why they have the sudden urge to bolt out into the unknown and the dangerous but some of them do. While others get curious over the new opening and will sniff about but wont dare go into the unknown. I've heard of scent warnings where you buy a spray and spray the area you don't want the cat or dog to go to but I don't believe they work. But it could have just been our animals. It obviously works for others. It might or might not help.. it smells though.
