Stuff to read!

So I lost my internet back in November or something. Silly neighbors up and moved...teehee.
Finally just before Christmas we broke down and bought our own internet service. I logged back into FA, and 950 SUBMISSIONS!!! Holy motha! Since then I've been slowly working those down. Finally 2 months later, I FINALLY DID IT! I didn't leave many comments, but I faved many things.
In that time I also went through a couple of crazy changes. I think I'm gonna bullet point it.
*Weight loss.
Not mine, but my boyfriend's. He had gastric bypass surgery on Dec 1st, and has since lost 70+ lbs! Quite remarkable. It's a little sad for me, cause I'm losing my chubby. But he's still got a round booty, so I should be fine. Hehe. Plus I love him like crazy, so it's all good. It might mean I have to draw him skinnier...maybe. That is, if I draw again...which I might.
*Job
I haven't lost mine or anything, but the Chili's across town closed. We took in a few of their servers/bartenders/managers/bussers/cooks. We also lost a couple a couple of our own, and might lose more. They've basically told us to keep on our toes about things, cause we 'could' be in trouble. I did lose 1 day a week of work already. What's CRAZY though, is that I've got 5 straight days off of work, without asking. It's been really nice, I've got a lot done, including catching up on all those damned submissions.
*Music
I FINALLY got to recording some of the bass lines that have been floating around in my head for the last few years. I intend to write other parts to it as well. So this is the beginning of my solo work. Hopefully it'll go somewhere.
ALSO, I finally got around to fixing up one of the recordings from my performance with the North Bay Opera Theatre Ensemble. Same group that I did the "Every Day Is Ladies' Day" song (in my gallery). Only this one is less...uh..."ladies". I'll be posting it soon.
*Theatre
One of the songs I sang recently with that same group was "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables, only sung to the "Humming Chorus" from the opera "Madame Butterfly" by Giacomo Puccini. I'll be singing this song again soon for a smaller concert. But more importantly I used it for an audition. AND I GOT THE LEAD!!! My very first lead role ever! I'm playing Joseph in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" by Andrew Lloyd Weber. I'm already 3 weeks into rehearsals, and it's going AMAZINGLY! We actually got 11+ other guys for the 11 brothers + Dad + Pharoah + Ensemble!!! In case you're unfamiliar with theatre, that's a REALLY hard thing to do. AND THEY CAN ALL SING!!!! It makes me soooo happy to hear them. Our show opens at the end of March and I can't WAIT!
For anyone actually in the area...(like 2 of you) it's playing at the Woodland Opera House in Woodland, CA. I-5 or 113 to Main Street, LEFT, and it's there on Main.
*Games
For Christmas/Birthday (Dec 29th) my b/f bought me Guitar Hero: World Tour! Full band, too! I love the game. I've been playing it a lot, even with my sister who lives in Illinois. My band's name is Cheshire Tiger, and I made a crappy band logo, too. I created a realistic (or at least mostly) rock star of myself. Then I also made a 'furry' style rock star of my fursona. It's AWESOME!
If you ever wanna play with me, my friend code is 3394 8441 7746
Also, I got Mario Kart Wii. Only like a YEAR later than all you folks, but still. I haven't quite beat all of the 150cc Cups yet. I waited for my sister to get the game so I could play with her (and my niece and nephew) without being 'too' good. I got Coconut Mall down pretty good, though. Donkey Kong on a motorcycle is pretty damn hot!
My code for that game is 1676 8572 3787
I don't think I ever posted my Brawl code, so here it is 2793 1843 1557
COMMENT WITH YOUR CODES IF YOU WANNA CONNECT! I will add you no questions.
We got a new 36" tv from our friend Montana's "man-friend" at the time, along with a bit entertainment center, which now houses our cat, Napoleon in one of it's compartments. Really cute. I may upload a pic of it. ANYWAY, I was REEEEALLY excited for this tv and the Resident Evil 4 Wii Version. I purchased the game and the shotgun-style controller caddy for the Wii, all excited to blow away zombies all realistic like on the big screen. Turns out...grr...the TRIGGER button on the Wii Remote is NOT the TRIGGER for the damn GUN in the game. It uses the A button instead. Which TOTALLY fucks up the whole experience. I don't even use the gun caddy anymore. The game is amazing though, so whatever, I'm playing it again still. Though, I wanted Punch to watch my play, cause I thought he'd like it, cause it's so freakin' amazing. Plus there's all sorts of spanish in the game, so I figured he could translate for me. Turns out the game freaks him out too much (which is what I LOVE about the game), so he won't even listen to it. Boooo....
I'm still working on Super Paper Mario, but I'm 7 Pure Hearts in, though, so I don't think I have too far to go.
I beat Star Wars: Force Unleashed, which was pretty fun. Meh. I was really into it when I started, but it got kinda old, I think. The story was really interesting, and then it kinda confused me.
I also got the Wii Music, which is really cute, and kinda fun. I mostly enjoy the 'Perfect Pitch' games, which could be harder.
*Art/Comics/Drawing
I bought the "Built Tiger" series from
gamma-g on rainbow shoppers. Of course it's all in Japanese, and I knew that was the case. But I'd REALLY like to know what's being said. Is there ANYONE who could translate all 3 of them (or really any of them) for me. I'd appreciate it a lot! Plus I might be able to pay a very small amount for it....maybe.
I may pull the sketchbook out again and try to get back into the mindset of drawing. However, what I'd REALLY like is for someone to draw my fursona and my b/f's fursona together. Something high quality awesome. I haven't decided yet who I want to do it, but I'll certainly commission it when I figure it out.
I had an idea while watching Underworld: Rise of the Lycans to draw a Werewolf in Ninja gear. I never did...but maybe I will. Thing is, I think somebody DID, like a while ago. Maybe not, but I see it in the style of
furious.
Plus I added a couple of ideas to my fursona. The fact that he's a singer and his name is Decibel (last name) means that he should have a vocal 'power'. Kinda like Banshee from X-men (or Siryn his sister, I believe). Or if you watched Heroes, the character Jesse (villain that Peter was in the body of for the first half of the 3rd season, kinda hot, too) had that kind of power too, but with less screeching...if you will. Also, to get in touch with some of my more monkey-like ability/agility (I've played a monkey in a show twice now) I've decided that his tail should be prehensile and his feet should have 'thumbs', which also helps with his flying side (think perch). He can also turn to stone and therefore 'Gargoyle' himself at will.
*Last one I promise
I MADE IT OVER 1000 PAGEVIEWS!!! I didn't even know it happened. Pretty awesome. Only took me year and a half since my first submission. Still, I'm just glad people are checkin' out my shit. I even got a few Favs lately. I only wish I could be part of somebody's little group of friends. Hehe. Kinda silly, but I see 'group shot' pictures drawn by folks, and I just wanna be part of that. Yeah, I'm a wannabe. Anyway, enough of my blah blahing.
Look for more random music from me, including the final 2 songs from my band, as well as some pics I've taken of some things, including really cute furry-type things in real life. Ok I'm done for real now.

Seems like you've been very balanced with things you're experiencing! I'm overwhelmed with things that you said, yet one thing that strikes me is about Gamma's comic! I don't have time to get the copy of it now, but I'll do my best to translate it in English after I get it by hopefully in Spring Break or summer! He's one of my favorite artists as well, and to give a clue, Japanese artists want readers to understand the story through images, and even though you may not understand, whatever you think about story are mostly accurate as dialect states!
