What a Bad Vacation...
Some vacation I had... It sucked. Lemme tell you about it.
First off we took my grandparents to a relative of my mom's, then left for the string of hotels
The whole week-long trip was ruined by, and I quote, "A Series of Unfortunate Events." Seriously, Things happened the whole yime that made us unable to go anywhere except the grocery store or the museum. Hell, we almost never even went anywhere except when it was important. My two sisters and I, along with my oldest sister's boyfriend (or ex? I forget; I know they broke up once...) and sometimes my niece, were crammed into the back of the truck while we rode down south. And even when we got there it sucked! Warm weather, fresh air, the walks I took around the suites... Those are about the only things I enjoyed. We never went anywhere while we were in Florida besides the grocery store, just stayed in the hotel watching TV. I either did that, walked around the place, or drew (the last two being the things I did the most; I was bored outta my MIIIND...). Most of the time I was hit by this huge headache that spun me around for a bit, made my head feel like an overinflated balloon ready to pop. Sometimes I thought about how everyone at school was doing and wishing I had actually stayed instead of listening to my sisters go at it; it always ended up with one being pissed at the other.
Like I said, things happened that kept us from doing practically ANYthing interesting; I couldn't go swimming 'cuz it was too ****ing cold (well, it was the middle of February, of course, I'd forgotten that--the weather down there can play clever tricks on ya); the only walk we ever went on was down the street, then the other way, then back to our rooms, the only place we drove to was a battlefield museum in Destin (but I got a new toy while we were there, that made me kinda happy; heheh, I couldn't stop playing with it; it's this thing that's got this propeller that's attached to a length-ridged stick, and you twirl the stick near the bottom to make it spin and fly up, it's pretty neat; yeah, I kept aiming it at my sisters and they kept taking it away *lol*), the only place we stopped at to get a hot meal was at this restaurant called "WHATABURGER" (anyone here ever heard of it, by the way? their food DID taste great... *slight pause* 'what a burger...' *another pause* yeah, that's actually their little slogan for their ads; pretty catchy, isn't it?); we had nothing but balogna and cheese at the hotel, well, pudding too, but the balogna and cheese sucked 'cuz I didn;t wanna eat nothing but balogna and cheese for five days; but anyway, and there's this computer in the lobby, the only thing we could do on it was check our e-mail, for ONLY FIVE MINUTES A DAY. My oldest sister and her boyfriend were able o get on MySpace without any of the managers looking. I was able to sneak a look around here myself... but my youngest sister caught me. She YANKED me off the computer, bitching at me the whole time while we were walking back down to our rooms--well, actually she stopped scolding me about halfway through the walk (I always feel like punching her in the face when she upbraids me the way she does, somehow it always gets to me; I love her like a sister but I can't stand her when she's in pissed-off mode; and my oldest sister's boyfriend feels the same way about my oldest sister, except he thought of her as a lover would; by the way, both of my sister are older than me, if anyone was wondering, by like, seven years).
*wipes an eye* But to be honest, actually, even now I wish we'd never gone on that trip at all.
We had some pets with us, 13 dogs (a mom and 12 puppies; we called the mama 'Stahrs') and a cat (named Naruko; kinda like 'Naruto,' but with a different letter); we used to have 13 puppies, but one of them killed himself by biting into the wiring inside the pumphouse... *takes a moment to wipe an eye* It really happened, too.
Anyway, to go on the trip, we...we had to get rid of the dogs. And the vacation started on the 14th, too, so Racthet, my Valentine's Day was... *pause* ...I can't even find a word to describe how I felt that day...but I'm pretty sure I felt the same as you, so I kinda know how you felt about yours; we all loved them, even my oldest sister, who usually doesn't take kindly to animals too much, especially cats. And it was my mom's birthday, too. I just couldn't stop myself from letting tears roll down my face; we had to get rid of our dogs to go on vacation, which happened to start on Valentine's Day, which also happened to be my mom's birthday. *sniff* I really miss them. The vacation's over, and they're...well, gone.
I'll probably never see them again. I don't think I'll be able to get over it.
