A friend of mine suggested me to draw an insect version of my current fursona at that time (a wolf). I drew it and fell in love with drawing insects.

I knew that a lot of people ask that, but still, thanks a lot :)

I've been working on it for 3 years. I had the initial idea in 2011! I think insects and Japan fit! And I love geishas, there aren't many geisha stories out there!

I have a lot of inspirations... I think anything can inspire me if I am in the right mood. But mostly art from artists I like, photographies, music.

1)I think my work is tightly tied with colors and lighting, and I guess that influence came from Impressionism (my favorite art school). I saw "Woman with a Parasol" by by Monet and never forgot how beautiful the colors and lightning were. Then one of my favorite artists, Giselle Almeida ( http://gisalmeida.deviantart.com/ ), who taught me a lot of what I know today about art Inside the fandom,  loculi and  commissionsbyj really influenced some of my styles. And another artist I love and that also inspired one of my styles is Ibuki Satsuki!

For me One Piece, Blue Exorcist, Hajime no Ippo, and Hunter X Hunter.

Nope! I don't know how anyone can really be bothered by a wide audience. If you know how to behave, there's absolutely no problem. Exposure is always welcome in my opinion! I don't really care for what most people consider art theft (such as reposting my images to other sites, or using them as RP profiles), and to be honest, it's been years since I got a free art request! Depending on how it's worded I either say a "no, sorry" or just ignore it.

I love Spirited Away, Mulan, Memoirs of a Geisha! I'm sure there are more, but I can't remember right now! XD

Oh woa! Thats a pretty positive view on it! ;u; <3 I like that you are so chill and calm about it. When I talk to other artists it seems like its been a bother for them with free art requests and they take art theaft pretty seriously ^^; So that was why I wondered! ;u; <3 Mostly a big audience is mostly positive in my opinion tho!

Ah, I've stressed about those things far too much, nowadays I'm pretty chilly! I just put my signature in the image, and link to my DeviantART account, and that's done! Very few people will actually erase an artist's signature, and if you have an audience, your work will be certainly be recognized and the person who removed the signature will be called out! There are some things that still bother me a little, but we learn to live with that!

In overall, I just like to look at more at the pros, and usually they so good they overshadow the cons! :3

Ask: What inspired you to use those particular bird species for the BUM deities?

I always thought the image of the heron to be very mystic and "sacred". It's a very different avian, kinda looks like a bird dragon. I think it's very majestic, fits as a god! And the owl was a character I was gifted! I decided to alter her a bit and use in my story!

Ooh, the heron idea is rad and that's a very clever approach to using your owl character!

The Tetsuo/sweets thing is actually a bit of a joke (which in retrospect may be a bit mean-spirited and I apologize for that) regarding a rather dumb trope that's especially prevalent in Japanese media (and even in Western media to a lesser extent) that men are too proud and manly to enjoy sweets as much as women do. While I'm not fond of using TV Tropes for my reference material, this article covers the basic gist of it.

...of course, now another part of me wonders what Kurohasu thinks of sweets, but that's enough bothering you with silly things :P

The Nays are retired! But I'm redesigning them into other monstergirls! The centaur is now Ninian, the fauntaur (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/13530233/) , the Naga is now Candle (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/15037864/), and there's Ília, the mermaid (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/9853164/), and I'm going to redesign the harpy too! Definitely there will be more of them, and with stories that are being written by  Amethystine!

Ahh, the first character I designed was Nae... the second was Kuro, and then I developed Tetsuo and lastly, Sayaka. Then I started to create relationships between then, and develop their personality, and then... it happened! At first it was supposed to be just a short story for me to practice comics before I could tackle on a larger and more important project (called Epifania). Well, soon enough, Blade Under Mask was growing and became the main project, with Epifania being put aside for the current time!

That is rather interesting. I do so love it when little things spiral upwards into a large project!Though, now, I am rather interested to see what Epifania is about.
