Dorothy Smith, my mother, will have been dead for five years officially tonight at 11:30 PM. In order to honor her memory, I hereby commemorate this journal in dedication to the woman who helped raise me, and who despite suffering terrible pain from various arthritis and other illnesses, was kind and charitable even in her last years.
