We furries have lost a great politician

With Sadness and a heavy heart I must report on the passing of a great furry political figure.
On friday night, after a long battle with cancer of the jaw Socks the Cat passed away at the ripe old age of 19.

Now some of you may remember the former first feline fondly, some others may remember his scandals over alleged catnip abuse, and the infamous dead fern gate, still others may remember his terrifying brush with death when his collar got caught in a tree and he was almost strangled. but I'm sure everyone will agree that the legacy of his time in the white house will never be forgotten...

But I do remember Socks, a sweet kitty too.
Not socks! He was a sweetiekittie!
I am glad he's no longer dealing with cancer though, and 19 is a damn fine lifetime (almost two) for a cat. That and, he was definitely not lacking for a comfortable life.
