it was supposed to be us against the world.

You moved on across the bridge to the greener pasture and turned, and you called to me, a smile on your face.

But instead of crossing, i lit the bridge, and i watched it burn.

And i watched you scream and call to me.

And i see you on your knees, begging me to stop, begging me to go with you.

And i see the sorrow in your eyes, and the confusion, and the tears streaming down your face.



We stare at each other across the empty expanse,. the bridge a charred corpse.



I have so many regrets.

I may carry you in my heart forever, but i wont allow myself to poison your world.

I'll stay here because i never deserved you. I never belonged.

And as i watch from afar, as you move on;
