Hey we all have our klutzy moments. Why do you think I said I can relate Hmm? This is my new laptop I got earlier late this year when I knocked over and shocked my old one. My last laptop was showing signs of being replaced anyway, but I just made it go early. >_<

Well it's hardly your fault, you didn't design those phones, these days everything is made to break as soon as possible.
It's like the first nylon stockings, they were indestructible so they hardly sold anymore so the companies made them poorly on purpose so that they would get ladders in them so they could keep selling them.

And I get a lot of flak as well on a regular basis for using what's pretty much an ancient phone by now.
The important thing for me is that it does what I need it for, sending and recieving calls and the occasional text message.

Anyway, you're preaching to the choir when you talk about them producing shoddy items these days so they can sell you a new one just as soon as possible. It's also why nothing is made so it can be fixed anymore. Remember, I worked retail at WalMart for 17 years. I KNOW about these things.

No more sticky keys than it already had. Actually I have a few that need 'double--clutching' to work properly. And that is truly different!(but not a result of the drenching...they already did that)

I guess we'll never know for sure, but it don't matter. I got the Toshiba anyway.
Funniest thing is I hated nearly everything about it for most of the first year I had it. Cussing it every other minute. Now it's like we're soul mates. I like it WAY more than my new Dell. Of course I got a fairly basic Dell since part of the reason was to take it with me on vacations where it could get stolen and thus I wouldn't be losing a really expensive one or my Toshiba.

Was the coffee leaded? Might have made it run twice as fast if it was...

Naw....I think it was the new, healthy unleaded variety.

I'm typing this on my mate's Toshiba that had a glass of water knocked onto it by the cat (quite deliberately, the little bastard). Immediately turned it off and opened up the case, let everything air-dry. Was a bit touchy for a while, and had to replace the keyboard, but that wasn't too difficult. The power plug broke, but I have a soldering iron, and it wasn't too difficult to hard-wire a bit of cord to a plug outside the machine. Currently using it for a stationary computer, now that I have my writing desk again.

I'm guessing that yours also has a plastic sheet between the keyboard base and the main PC board? That's what likely saved this one.

Hell, I dunno. Alls I know is it seems fine!

And I still need to get my scanner hooked up again, need more to clog up your inbox with more bridges.

Well, I do have quite a few of those in the back inventory. And the bridges are railway bridges, very big ones at that.
