thank god the holiday season is over

as much as i love the holidays, the stress is nearly unbearable
anyways christmas was nice i got to give all the gifts i planned
actually had a mild issue of carpal tunnel because i crocheted from wake to sleep for two days straight making gifts. was not fun but it was well worth it.
i got some clothes as well as a desk and chair from my parents which is GREAT
i'm not sure if i've complained enough for you all to know but my previous desk was the cardboard box a microwave came in.
and then i just sat on the floor
as you can imagine it began to cave in and that was a big reason i couldn't manage to draw ever, but i love the little desk i have now and i built the chair all by myself AND YES I AM PROUD CAN YOU TELL
my dad also got me a harmonica cause he wants me to learn and it's pretty cool so far.
i also had an 'early' christmas at my brother's house because they'd all be off doing their own things on christmas (it's four people living there)
so dennis got me an art book and it's so great oh mY GOD i need to draw people now
and terrance gotME A GOD DAMN BLUE BUDGIE KIGURUMI I'M CRYING IT'S SO PERFECT I'M JUST CRY
the holiday season is definitely something i enjoy but the stress of having to be gone from home and driving 3+ hours multiple times within the season is definitely exhausting when paired with the stress of getting gifts for everyone
anyhoo now i can finally enjoy my break and get settled in. cleaning the room is finally happening but expect me to actually start drawing now!

Sadly the stress isn't over yet for those who work retail. In Canada everything is closed on boxing day so today starts the boxing day sales. It's going to be INSANE. Think about it: stores have been closed for 2 days which means no one has gotten to go shopping and apparently that is the end of the world?? There are big sales going on at every store so they can get rid of their winter/Christmas stock and of course it lands on a Saturday of all things so everyone and their dog is going to be there. Ugh.
