Are all cops bad?

Hm.
Well, I don't think all cops are bad, no.
But I think we are at a point where it does not make sense to deny that there IS a problem with police abusing their authority.
They do say power corrupts, and we see that with police
Is everyone who's shot or killed by an officer a case of abuse of power? I don't think so, no
But at the same time I think it's definitely an issue.
So what about good cops?
Well, what IS a good cop?
Some people think good cops are any cops who aren't bad.
I have a different definition: a cop who is willing to stop bad cops.

THIS is a good cop. That being said, Eric Garner was killed by multiple cops, not one. Because none of them stepped in. The ones in that video are ALL bad cops.
Now I've been pulled over twice and never had any problems. In fact they were very nice to me. I'm a black male and they were both white men. I DO believe there are many good cops out there.

I mean I'm sure a lot of cops have good intentions. But we have to consider that parts of the legal system itself are unjust.

The police are corrupt. They do make mistakes. They do sometimes make judgments other than to the written letter of the law.
I wouldn't have it any other way.
Can you imagine a country where every single crime is found out and prosecuted with 100% effectiveness?
it sounds extreme, I know, but what I think he was getting at was that we have too many laws, which I'd agree with
A lot are necessary, but I'd say police making mistakes is not beneficial
Also, corrupt police is a bad thing lol, what we are talking about here is police working in tandem with other government officials and prosecutors to get away with major crimes and avoid indictment
People take such pride in this county because of its economic power and political system, when its really just super fucked. Instead of trying to fix governments in other countries and establish democracy there because /we think its right/, our government needs to re-evaluate itself and their priorities.

but yes totally agree! The higher-ups actually do not care at all
also many unarmed Native Americans are killed by police as well
What I think most people miss about these is that cops getting away with murder is the problem, not the fact that cops do bad things
of course they're human, but like humans they should be punished
and people should really stop demonizing the dead!
