A lot of volunteer work with local NGOs like the Desmond Tutu HIV/AIDS Foundation and another group called Grandmothers Against Poverty and AIDS (GAPA for short). Everything is looking extremely interesting so far. Some evidences of Apartheid's economic legacy are abundantly clear in Cape Town since you can see a modern, well-paved and maintained highway literally right between a sprawl of slums (not all of these are the old Apartheid-era townships but economically they are largely the same thing).
I'll keep an eye out for Die Antwoord.
