I think it's all personal matters, not part of the fandom.

I thinks its extreme cases of burnout. so many i know get so excited and focus on drawing one thing so much that they just loose all interest in it.

hmm I thought so. Also ther eoculd be many other factors: real life, personal problems, artistic need for something different, age problems, the imprssion that everyone is more skilled than you etc. etc.
Plus the older you get, the more the skills, the more the skills the more time needed to complete a pic, the more time to complete a pic the greater the disappointment when that pic is ignored or unappreaciated.

*nods* it is possible, there are any numerous factors that can lead to people stop drawing or leaving. That's why i try to leave comments with artist I enjoy

Though Im pretty new to this furry seen Ive seem people go and really try and be active a lot and then just disapear. Also Ive noticed a good few artist that a few years ago were quite active dont really post anything anymore. Makes you wonder dosnt it. Sometimes you see all thats perfect and you wonder why bother when lots of others can do it lots better than you. The nets in a way has become so overfilled with great art that you wonder whats the point cos no matter how good you strive to get you know you can only go so far.

yeah, I know the feeling. Plus there is that annoying factor of non-artist fan, who do not understand how much time it took to make a pic that satisfy your worst judge, yourself(admit it we artist are the most mercyless judge of our works), and ask always for more in ridiculously short time. It happen in all type of arts, be it fana rt, comic art, music arts or moder art. Is oen of the reasons many great artist "burn"themselves to keep on the rythm of the request.

Thanks so much, I always said it was your early bondage Brandy pics that influenced my own early drawing so much, lol though deviant art seemed to tame it over time. Well at least on the plus side for all those that go many new fresh faces are popping up all the time. Its sad to lose a faved artist thats contributed so much, but on the good side so many new artist come along aswell too. I dont consider the times dire as furry art is growing more and more, I often think some just bail and leave as they dont want a big show about it, watchers begging them not to stop drawing etc. There by pressure to change their mind. Well I justkeep going anyway, heh no matter how much I try I cant give up drawing just yet so I will prob be around for a while.
