Future DWYW Auctions
I'm curious to know what your thoughts are on these Do What You Want auctions. Personally, I've been enjoying them and I'm willing to try more.
Do you have any suggestions? Are there specific character's you'd like to see? Would you like to see more characters that can be either predator or prey, or do you want to see just predators or just prey?
I hope in the future to include trades as part of the bidding. I was hoping to do that now, but I found myself a little short on money after buying books for college. So next time I hope to include trades.
Basically, you can bid using trade that's worth the same as your bid. All you need is a commission price sheet or journal. Hopefully that makes sense, I am having a hard time explaining it right now. XD
So yeah, any general thoughts?
On an unrelated note: school starts up next week starting on the 6th. I'll be much less active then (wow I posted a lot over the break, and Im still going!).
Sometime in the near future, Ill also write about the results of that Magic the Gathering coding project. I've just been all over, I haven't gotten around to talking about it.

I like seeing a mix of both pred and prey myself, and how their posed with of within each other. As for character types, I've always been a softie for characters of a scaled nature particularly, snakes, crocodiles, and dragons. Perhaps you could look into types such as gryphon or avian characters for folks who enjoy the feathery side of noms.
I think trades might be rather fruitful given the right opportunity. I don't know of many who are able to do the work and quality that you do.
Enjoy that school break while it lasts.
If I gave you a dragon, would you want a base dragon with lots of customization abilities or a very unique dragon that cant change?
Birds and gryphons would be interesting. I just have not found a decent model yet. Most of them are older or are limited in functionality.
I actually enjoy trades. I love to see art of my characters in other people's styles. I usually shy away from them because I never feel like I can make their character. And if Im not making their character, I feel like Im ripping them off in a way. They are making my character, but I cant make theirs? Doesn't sound fair to me.
But I hope the auctions would fix that nasty feeling a little bit.
Avian came to mind as I've not seen many 3D characters of them. I've not looked for them, so their might be alot, and I don't know it! I imagine traditional characters such as foxes, wolves, and perhaps Orcas might be things to look for.
I would enjoy trades myself, though there's not as much call for writing in trades. 3D I would like to imagine is highly desirable, or at the least fewer practice it. That's something I'd worry about with the gift stories I wrote for some folks. I want to make sure I describe in appearance and personality to the letter. That might be a side effect of having high, but fair standards for your craft.
I hope they do ease that nasty feeling for you. ^^
I don't see the downside to art trades. I guess the worst that happens is someone doesn't fulfill their end, yea?
But when trades go right, the results are always good :)
