Heya folks, Monte here just to talk a little about some issues I will be dealing with in the months to come and how they might effect my artwork and thus my posting. (Nobody is dead)

So as some might remember, I was PC-less for about a year after the one a friend had built got water damaged and I was on a backup laptop until last Year. I took some Tax refunds and purchased the cheapest PC I could get off NewEgg since the Laptop in question was rundown and could not handle both World of Warcraft and storing all my doodles.

That money was supposed to go into FINALLY getting me a touch screen drawing tablet that I have been after for 3 years, I told myself this year I would pour any returns I scraped up to finally get one and really push to get my digital artwork up to the same level as my 2D pencil skills- something I have been DYING to synchronize.

Jump to this morning, I get up and set up my headset and tablet into my front two USB Ports in their usual ports, my tablet light comes on and turn on Skype so I can chat while I work, I notice I do not hear the familiar Skype dial sounds while it tires to connect the call, I stop skype and turn on Youtube and click a vid, no sound.
I pull the headset cord from the USB and switch it to the port my tablet had been on, instant sound! confused, I look to the back of my tower, where 4 other ports are around, since my headset cord is longer I try each of the available ports to try and get sound from them, NONE are receptive aside from one giving a light connection sound when I pulled it out of the port.

So, I am currently 1/6 ports active on my PC, I like to have music playing while I doodle, and since I am in a apartment I cant blast music at night when most magic happens. (I have speakers, loud babies.)
Now I am going to have to look into getting these ports fixed as I would Hulk out if I lost the last one.

Hopefully the problem is only the USB ports themselves, but if its the sign of something bigger I might have to dip into this years refunds which would hurt me deeply.

I know it has many drawbacks, but it was good for the price I could afford. I dont trust sending the desktop to IBP for repairs so I will look around the hometown if I cant find parts or a friend to come by and look at it.
