F.A.Writers2.0 January Week 1 Update

Hey everyone,
Jaxedge here!
I've decided I'm going to try and put up weekly updates for the group just to keep you all informed on how things are going. These updates will include this months new submissions, any entries/submissions from this month's prompt, and most importantly to advertise works that our users are wanting critique or input for that were not submitted for reupload. Also, if there's a discussion point for the group I will also be posting those here. These update journals will be deleted monthly just to avoid any clutter. So without further delay, here's our first weekly update!

Discussion Points
Should we get an updated icon? One that's more FA oriented? And if so, any suggestions on what it should be?
FA+

Prompts: I honestly don't think I get the purpose of the writing prompt. Could you explain it to me? Seems good for one-shots, but I prefer writing longer stories. I don't know how to wrap stories up, really.
Submissions: Are these the ones that were submitted for the last prompt?
Critique Requests: Are these the ones that I'm more like to fall under, since I prefer writing longer stories and would prefer people review them and point out which parts bored them / were unclear?
Icon: Absolutely!!! How do you plan on selecting the new icon? I know a couple of artists personally, and I wouldn't mind commissioning Bleuxwulf for an icon. Course, it'd save money if instead of commissioning a hundred different people, we knew what we wanted to begin with. Maybe submit a survey for this one or something. My vote: a furry paw holding a pen in the air with a color explosion behind it.
The monthly prompts are intended to hep inspire members to put a piece together. It is meant more as a one shot, not for a multiple installment story.
The submissions are non-prompt related re-uploads. These are stories/poems that our members decided they want uploaded to the group to share and request input.
The critique section is for users who do not wish to re-upload their work to the group but still want some help or input on their story. Basically if you want your story to only be available on your page then you would fall in this section.
I hadn't decided on how to select the new icon. For now I wanted to gauge interest in getting an icon and start a group discussion on what to have the icon look like. If I get a few suggestions then I will probably use your survey idea to get a final vote on the icon before seeking an artist to have it done.
I like your icon idea, simple yet eye catching. I will put that down as a possibility when it comes time to decide.
