Hi! Craziux here! Link to my Twitter: Valp_Labs
ββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ Reason: Minor hurricane.
What I had: Cold food, 2 half burned down candles and a working-lamp
almost out of battery. Also frozen pizzas that I couldn't warm up.
Just saying, next time, if it happens again, I gonna be better prepared! x3
Longer text version:
"Me and Kenkoο»Ώ went to the store when the storm were going on, and there was some really
strong wind outside, then 10 seconds after we entered the store, everything went black. Luckily
they got some backup lights or whatever it's named, so we could still see what we were buying,
and we got to pay the stuff before they closed, as they closed the store while we were shopping,
as I also were empty for food at home. x3 I bought some frozen pizza's too, but since the
electricity were gone, I couldn't heat that up, but I also bought some bread and cheese as well. :3
We still had fun, watched Inception on the last power of my laptop with some small speakers
and played some handheld games until the electricity went out.
Next time, if it happens again, I gonna be better prepared tho, as the only light sources we got
were two half burned down candles and a working lamp that was almost out of battery. xD"

Maybe something to cook food with inside as well. x3
For cooking, there are small single burner stoves that are sold in kitchen stores. They run on a canister of butane that is about the size and shape of a can of aerosol spray paint. Don't get the camping ones, they cost way more to buy and the canisters they use are only available in camping stores, and cost more. The butane stoves and a four-pack of fuel will pack away nicely for long time. Four cans of fuel will give you something like six hours at full blast. The butane burns cleanly, not smelly, and is approved for indoor use. Hotels use them all the time for cooking for things like breakfast cook to order buffets and so on. If your apartment allows you to have a propane or charcoal grill out on the balcony, that also works, but you have to cook outdoors, and the grill is much larger, taking up space on the balcony.
Here is an amazon link for one that's only 36 dollars. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AI0AHSC.....SIN=B00AI0AHSC Or search for chef butane stove. This kind of unit is made by many companies.
Granted this will not cook a frozen pizza, but it will cook up a pot of soup or stew pretty fast. Boil water for coffee or tea, and heat up a pot of water that you can use to take a sponge bath if the outage lasts longer than a day or so.
