Given that the spring semester at the local university starts tomorrow I figured it'd be a good time to post this. Back in November I applied to the graduate program at Iowa State University in order to obtain a GIS Certificate. What followed was a lot of waiting, many phone calls, a tarty letter of reference countered by a last minute replacement, me being screwed by the winter break, and a lot more phone calls. But last Friday I finally found out the results. The committee met and unanimously voted to allow me into the program. One little problem, though. I had applied for the spring semester, which, as I mentioned, starts tomorrow. That's not a lot of time to prepare. Fortunately though I was able to delay things until the summer semester. Thus, come summer I will be going back to school in the hopes of getting a GIS certificate. Wish me luck!
