Silent, deadly, filled with hate
Sleeping darkly, all in umber
With no end, alone I slumber

Restless sleep, one not my own.
With twisted pathways, that have shown

unyielding foe and heartborn cost,

But then, a brand new friend appeared
unexpected, really feared!
This brand new friend, a path he showed
I stirred, in slumber, then I know'd

Awakening to this new dawn,
I see I have not been a pawn -
of earth or man, or god or seer
I scout; I find; I seek; I hear
A subtle roaring, weak but growing
New life's come, this dragons soaring

In place, where once was rock and stone
And darkness reined, and all alone
Now I see clear, beyond the pall
A new path now, I hear the call,

A need, a want, a love that's yearning
Hearts afire, passions burning
Now a sea, to cross I must -
to earn this furry's special trust

With wings aflame, on winds I fly
And keeping on, until I spy
The one I know, the cry I heard -
For what I see there is no word

What love awaits us, true night's call
and lessons learned, from this great fall
