Patreon Musing, life ramblings of a deranged psycho
10 years ago
Well I am down to one job and part time. So I can traditional find another or a new job, or be creative doing what I love. I was thinking of a Patreon. I owe a few things and its my new years goal to get em all out, but during that I was thinking to make up for the 10-15 hours a week I am losing at my job, what could I do.
If I start a patreon, what kind of works would people want? All furry or Pony too? Special commissions or a series? Halp?

I've asked this same question and what I've heard people tell me is special sketches, pics, or projects for donors only. As for what they are, you can probably have different categories depending on what people want.

Maybe you could designate certain days to certain themes. "Pony Tuesday" and so on. After a while you may pick up on trends... you get more viewers/donations for certain themes, which will indicate what type of theme you want to expand on.

Theme isn't much of a concern, its more like would people want to Donate to Adult art? Monthly Commissions? A Comic? I am sure I can garner attention if need be, but the subject is what are people looking for?

Look at a consistent product and try to deliver more on that. Or creat a consistent product like some of the other artists seem to be doing. Whatever they are known for they just have people pay them to do more of it. Be it more pony porn. Or more webcomics, or webisodes. Just think of something and try it out. See if there is an audience for it, then see if that audience will pay for it.
