Music backups and you
Want a hand-knit wooly hat? Now is your chance!
So, now that I got the 1TB drive, I wondered just how much music I actually had. I went to my Backup V.1 disks and pulled everything out of them, sorted them out, and measured. 85 gigs. A good month and so of non-stop tunes. Okay.
Today, my sis comes in and pulls out my Backup V.2 dual layer DVD disks. "Hey Joe, what's these?"
Ohhhh hello, there! *snatch*
Pull out everything from those guys and measured. 117 gigs. That's another 32 gigs more!
Now, this is almost all of the music I have. I still have what i call the Backup V.3, the stuff I had backed up before the HD went kaput. I have no idea how much that is. I would like to guess another 25 gigs or so. XD
Now, at this stage, you are probably asking yourself, "Just what this moose listen to?!?" Let me tell you that this collection spans almost 15 years worth of collecting and ranges from '40s to today*. I have classic rock, jazz, lounge, big band, indie, 80s, 70s, grunge, hip-hop, classic country, funk, alternative of all styles, disco, and things that defy description. Assorted discographies of odd bands. Video game theme remixes. Things I don't know how I got it and when. Weird things.
And I'm not done yet, folks! Still looking for more things, more gems that are lost in the shifting sands of time. Including Silver Jews, NRBQ, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, and many others.
*Speaking of which, I heartily suggest Capital Cities

But you're right. I need to see about finding some classic (90's) Disney TV themes.
