Video card problem D:

General
I finally got my video card back. However they sent me a different model entirely. Turns out I won out because it's a superior card. However I now have a problem.
The video card doesn't fit in my case D:
The harddrive rack gets in the way. Should I trim the rack a bit to make room?

FA+

if there's no other alternative trim it but keep in mind that the rack may provide support for things other than the harddrive and if your internal components are heavy enough it could bend.
but this is based on cheap cases, so just keep that in mind
My brother had one and one of the chips directly under it eventually melted and fried his motherboard.
That and I do have access to some power tools.
What card is it anyway?
however, if you are intent on keeping it, then yes, i say snip away, tin snips should suffice if it is aluminum, but make sure to get a dremel or something to sand down what will become very sharp edges wherever you cut
because it was originally designed for CGI rendering, not gaming.
however, with advances in gaming engines, it has become an excellent gaming card, especially after its most recent driver update, which gave it the ability to play directdraw lol
before it would play UT3 and higher end games like that but not older games, now it plays EVERYTHING lol
well, you could always get a new PC case and transfer all the parts over into that one >.> that might be easier than cutting into your current PC case, but it's still a bit of a hassle =\
