3D modeling
Yesterday was my first class in 3D modeling. I can say Im both excited and nervous for it.
Im excited because the 3D stuff is so much fun. This class is right up my alley. Im excited to start building more of my own models and relying less on purchased ones.
So why am I nervous? The final project requires me to essentially make my own game. It doesn't have to work, but the concept as well as most of the 3D models have to be there. The models need to be game ready, like slap some code on them and they are ready to go. To top it all off, I have to present the game in front of local game companies.
So in addition to my already busy homework load, I gotta build a game. While this will be the more fun homework for sure, its probably going to take the most time.
I might be pretty quiet until May. Ill try to post random renders and such when I get bored or need a break. I don't think Ill be able to post any progress shots of the game until its done. That way it doesn't look like I took the renders and concepts off the internet. But once the project is done, Ill be posting some stuff from it.
Ill be checking my DA and FA often, I just may not have any new content for a while or at least as often as I'd like.
By the way, check out this amazing piece I got from

I literally cant stop staring at it. So much detail! :D

The class uses Autodesk Maya and 3ds Max. However, Im more familiar with Lightwave, so I may be making the base models in Lightwave before sending them to Maya.
