I can't speak for the recipient,but I do know that the person giving the marrow will be in excruciating pain. I wouldn't rule out saying the opposite will be the same...So either way, prepare yourself mentally, and cross your fingers. Everything should be fine, and don't let the thought of death scare you at all...Remember, you are already knocking on the door jsut having cancer, so you might as well try something where the benefits will outweigh the risks. ^^ I believe all will go well for you.

I don't have experience with bone marrow transplants, but my mother is the recipient of a double lung transplant.

She's ten years in, and got the procedure done when she was in her late fifties or sixties, never asked the old bat what year she was born in.

Recently finished chemotherapy, cancer's a bitch, but you'll pull through.
