Discussions Events-related and Other

Welcome to a new Paradigm...
Hello everyone,
This is your Events Coordinator here and I have some topics I want to discuss. Before moving forward with said discussions, I have taken a couple of events off the Future Events section. I just do not think that I have the capacity to try and launch the events that were there...Many things going on right now and I do not want go burn myself out.

First topic I want to discuss is an event for Spring...I have been thinking about this for a while now and want to get some input from our community members. How would you feel about NSF having a Spring Picnic? From our attendance count at November's Holiday Party, I think it would be fun to have a picnic and see where it goes. Any thoughts?
Next topic relates to our Caribou gatherings during the regular bi-weekly meets that MNFurs has. I think it is best to stick with our routine of coffee and then AppleBee's and/or Red Robin. Is this okay to everyone else? I inquire because I know every once and a while we try something different (ex. Streetz across from Caribou).
Finally, on an off-topic discussion, does anyone know of someone who makes good banners? An idea came to mind on getting a NSF banner.

Also, if you need any help in designing the banner, I can provide assistance no problem!
As for a spring picnic, I'd schedule something on a week separate from the MNFurs event, be it 1-2 weeks on either side to allow interested parties to attend both. May is likely the best time to schedule to avoid potential last-second cold-snaps like the one we saw in 2013. Insofar as food for the picnic goes, there has always been an issue about bringing meats for grilling that I feel can be solved by proposing a community donation pool specifically calling for funds for grillables at the picnic.
Specifically, were I to attend, I'd volunteer to go to somewhere like Restaurant Depot and gather some 10 pounds of hotdogs, hamburgers, cheese, buns, etc. for such a use. Perhaps ask for a small dollar donation from members of the group to pay for the food, and any leftovers be set aside for later use at another event--you'd be amazed at how much food one can get for not much money at a RD.
