Couple of Ideas swarming in my head [PLEASE READ]

If you didn't know, I've moved my arts elsewhere.

So as of late, and I don't know why, but I feel that...I don't think we writers really get much credit here in the fandom. At least, it really doeesn't feel like it. Talk about underrated underdogs of the group. Because...I dunno, it kinda runs through my head that, many in the fandom are have some sorta small attention spans when it comes to stuff. Do many of us really care to stick to a series? Are we writers really considered 'contributors' to the fandom?
So my thoughts...
FIrst off...definitely splitting this one account into two. I'm probably going to leave this one as is, just delete my writings, and after a little bit of time, scrap my callig drawings I do for others. I got a couple reasons that I do that. One, is because my watchlist is populated with people that enjoy the pics of my character, not so much for the story that I have written on here. And that leads to the second reason, because with the arts on here, it kinda pushes my story series to the back of the list and makes it easily unseen. So yeah, probably around next month, I'm gonna have another account for my writings, I'll notify you guys when I do.
Second, I know that it's a bit tougher for us writers to really get much recognition on this site anyways. Not blaming anybody, but to be totally honest, it's just hard to get seen when there are only 4 available slots to see other's stuff. Yeah, I know that writing is much less common than art, but at the same time, that also does help other writers if there are plenty of slots that can be seen, since they can hang around for a while on the front page. So...I am also considering peetitioning for an 8 slot display for Writing, Music, and Poetry as well. Yeah, it may fill up the page, but the outcome for the individual contributors would be more positive than negative.
I understand that SOME people claim to love how we writers are in the fandom...but think of the other side of it too. Yeah, they SAY that we're needed in the fandom. But if you think about it...yeah, it happens, but how RARE would it be to acutally see a writing - art trade? Personally I've only seen a couple...which only proves in itself that we writers are really underappreciated in the fandom. I mean, no, you aren't writing FOR people, but at the same time, it feels kinda messed up that you work so hard and recieve little to no appreciation for it. Personally, I have few that even give my writings a 2nd glance, So in truth...a real question is, are we really worth that much to the fandom, or are we just some extra accessory to the few furs that actually CAN find imagery in words instead of it being blatantly right there in their faces?
Any thoughts, questions, concerns, talk to me, lemme know what goes on with your opinions on my thoughts on this subject.

If you can't get a boner after a glance, most furs can't be fucked continuing.
Not to mention the copious amounts of "Wow u r rly kool" illiterate idiots running around the fandom that probably CAN'T handle reading more than 3 syllables in a word >.>

Poetry, story writing, art, music, etc. (AKA "the arts", so to speak).
And, yet... admittedly, I myself got focusing more on art than anything else. (I mean as far as what I make/upload). Still kind of look at a little bit of everything I guess. Also, whether it's yiffy or not, not of consequence. Yiff is VERY cool, but mandatory for me to enjoy something that anyone makes.
Hard work is hard work. And, story writing, art, and music are all so much hard work come together and uploaded. And, quite frankly, how could I NOT appreciate such hard work of others out here?
I myself wrote a 2 part story quite some time ago that was supposed to have a 3rd and final ending to it. Also, was starting to write a story that was getting ab it too... dark in nature. I opted to scrap it both for my own sake, and maybe for a few others as well.
But, since I recently revamped my fursona and more or less combined the looks of my "good twin" and "evil twin" counterpart, I phased out the "evil twin", and now I have been wondering if I should maybe write some sort of story to sort of tie up the loose ends as far as what happened to the evil twin counterpart.
Anyways, let me just say I am all for you doing any story writing. *hugs* I hope you won't give up on it. Solid story writing is solid story writing, after all.
I personally am one of those furs who sits back and enjoys reading a nice book, story, and what not. Why, just recently I bought Out of Position by Kyell Gold off of Sofawolf Press's website and I am thoroughly enjoying reading this piece of literary art. But not everyone would go out of their way to read a good non filled-to-the-brim-with-smut story when they think about furs.
Unfortunately, that's just how this fandom, this world... the human race is. most are lazy and only want something they can pop a boner at and get off to.
and half of those kinds of people I would smack across the head with a printed version of AveatsOtter's story series "Space Invaders" and tell them to read it. Sure it's got pretty explicit smut scenes throughout it's ten chapters, but when there's not smut, it's a GREAT story. (Look him up on Yiffstar if you're interested in finding out what I mean)
Anyway, I've ranted on long enough here. I hope that you get the appreciation for your work that you deserve
