Hatred of Eating Noises...does anyone else have this?

Sorry this is more of a personal journal. >.< So, I've sort of had this problem for as long as I can remember. And only recently did I research it to the point where I found out it actually has a name, Misophonia. There isn't currently any treatment for it.
I don't hate all sounds, it is just when I can hear people chewing, eating, the spit noises etc. It literally feels like it drives me insane. My coworker sits in front of me and she eats loudly pretty much any time she is at her desk, she also compulsively makes this noise with air between her teeth it is just makes me want to punch something, pull my hair out, or run away. I can't just leave my desk everytime she eats, so I usually have headphones on, but that doesn't always help and I can't have my earbuds turned to the max or everyone can hear them lol! And I sure as hell can't say anything to her. So frustrating!
I even give my husband the look, nobody is safe.. >.<
Just wondering if anyone else has this problem or knows someone that does and how they deal? Crazy loopy concept I know. If I could just rewire my brain I totally would. I hate it.

Earplugs or headphones when eating? When people eat? Maybe?

i have no idea how to deal with it. xC
I literally cringe every time.
The problem is people who don't have this 'disorder' don't understand when people tell the they get irritated at the sound of people eating. x n x

Yeha I don't even like the sounds I make sometimes, so I annoy myself! XD
Also, i recommend Skull-Candy ear buds. they're a bit more spendy, but i think they're worth it.
with my mp3 player, on sound setting 8, while sitting on a running diesel engine, i can still hear the song pretty well, more so than the engine. And it doesn't put off sound that can be herd more than, say and inch away (I have a few songs on my player I'm constantly checking to just to make sure no one else can hear for a reason)
While listing to the same song with any of the other ear buds I've tried, I've had my mp3 play maxed out (setting 30), and it doesn't drown out the sound well, and can be herd from pretty far away.
I even use them as hearing protecting while working with loud power tools, machines, etc. and they work just fine. (Drowns out the sound of an angle grinder just fine!)

AND! they come in a (kinda) wide range of colors! they're also supper comfy. they come with two sets of the little rubber things to best fit your ear hole size.
My only complaint about them is the wire that comes out of the plug, right where the wire comes out of that hard plastic/rubber bit next to the plug, could be at a 90 degree angle (like some of the cheaper ones). i kill the straight wire ones so fast because I'm always bending over to pick up something i drop, or constantly crouching down to weld on something low.
But that's really all i have to complain about.

like.. people who stuff so much food in their mouth they have to make that gross grunting-sucking noise to get air (sounds like a disgusting pig) or, that gulping noise when they don't chew their food properly so their throat actually has to make an audible noise to get it down. or when people just chew with their mouth open so their slop sloshes about and makes this weird.. smacking/grunting knife-in-a-mayo jar sound. a;lkdnfoainf;adf... had a roommate who would sit in front of me and eat every day. did *all* of those things, every time.
sucks about your coworker.. wish there could be something you could just say to these sort of people.
haha, i hope they do too, it's hard when insanity is at the workplace.

My mother has this nasty habit of smacking her lips and tongue and it's just disgusting, one day I told her to chew with her mouth closed and she got this bitch ass face
Smacking lips. Chewing food. Grunting/snorting noises. Anything....I just got so irritated. I got the point where I have to wear my headphones or earplugs, because without it, I stare people down with, what I was informed was, an intense rage face. B|
