Earlier today, xainy posted that she's using an auto-save script for SAI.
Someone else commented that they like the idea, but find a minute to be too aggressive, and would like a 15 minute version.
Interestingly enough, last year, the same script made its rounds, and I recompiled it for pmoss to run every five minutes instead of one minute.
That version's available here in my dropbox: 5 minute auto-save for SAI
Rinzy remarked today that 1 minute was too aggressive, but 15 minutes would be great. So, I broke out the compiler, and lo!, a fifteen minute version is here in my dropbox: 15 minute auto-save for SAI.
Both versions will fire off only if the SAI window is focused. This prevents accidental saves in non-SAI applications, particularly at a point where you didn't want to save. :D
Now, for important news:
The English Language SAI site over at detstwo dot com has had a compromised .exe installer for MONTHS. Do NOT click on the "PaintTool SAI English Pack 1.1.0 Full (fixed for Vista and Win7) (2.01 mb)" link if you feel that you absolutely must download from there.
There is a smaller link that happens to be a zip file, labeled "PaintTool SAI English Pack 1.1.0 (1.32 mb)", which provides the files without the crapware wrapper that's been added, but lacks the convenience of a proper installation.
I may be willing to see about building an installer based on the 1.2.0 binaries for SAI, so that people can have the newest release version with the contents of the english pack, if there's interest in it.
Either way, enjoy.

Thanks for the heads up about the pack. I didn't know there was a 1.2.0 out now, either! Might have to check it out at some point.
